Today, the world is focused on the table. The turkey, the sides, the noise, the gathering.
But amidst the feast, I’m thinking about a different kind of hunger. I am thinking about the Feast of the Soul.
We spend so much of our lives hungry for things we think will fill us—validation, status, "more." We pay a heavy tax trying to chase those things. But when the noise settles, what are we actually grateful for?
For me, the deepest gratitude isn't for what I have. It's for what I can see.
I am grateful for Imagination.
I am grateful for the ability to sit in a quiet room and build an entire universe in my mind. That spark? That ability to dream up a future that doesn't exist yet? That is the only feast that truly satisfies.
If you are feeling lonely today, or overwhelmed, or just tired of the grind—remember this: You carry a spark inside you that no one gave you, and no one can take away. Your ability to imagine a better path is the ultimate resilience.
Be grateful for your vision.
The rest is just side dishes.
Happy Thanksgiving. May your inner spark—your true feast—sustain you in the year ahead.
