🧱 The Legend of the Princess and the Peasant 🧬

The Princess stood in the center of her home, but the air felt heavy, like she was breathing in the dust of a thousand forgotten dreams. She looked at the cluttered surfaces and the shadows in the corners, and her mind began to spiral into those familiar, dark questions: "Am I just stuck like this?" and "Will the life I endured with him always be with me?". She remembered a time when a suitor made her feel like the royalty she was, but slowly, that light had been extinguished. He hadn't used a cage; he had used his words and his darkness to turn her from a Princess into a peasant who felt like she could never do anything right.

Even though she had escaped his grasp years ago, the silence of her home still echoed with his judgments. She wandered through the rooms, searching for a spark of the woman she used to be, but all she found was evidence of how her own thoughts were now betraying her. Her mind argued with her at every turn, whispering that the mess was her own fault and that she was simply too tired to ever be "that version" of herself again. She assumed other people maintained their sanctuaries with ease, while her own mind fought her every time she tried to move a single piece of the rubble. Just as she was beginning to believe the answers would never come, there was a knock at the door.

A man stood there, looking safe enough, though she knew her judgment of "safe" had been compromised long ago. He didn't offer a common greeting; instead, he told her he had sensed a light in her earlier that day at the market square—a light she didn't even know she still possessed. He spoke to her with a vague but deep understanding, as if he could see the invisible weight she was carrying on her shoulders. He didn't give her a checklist; he shared an answer that suggested her world didn't have to stay in ruins.

As he turned to leave, he left her standing at the threshold of a new choice. Will she choose to free her mind, or will she continue to believe that her thoughts are solidified stone that can never be rewritten?. Is there a way out through the Dracorn Protocols?
